What
is e-Waste?
Electronic waste consists of any consumer or
business electronic device that has become
"obsolete" or is nearing it's useful life in the
eyes of the consumer. Many of these products can
be reused, refurbished, or
recycled. Unfortunately, electronic discards is
one of the fastest growing segments of our
nation's waste stream. Electronic waste consists
of electronic items such as: computers,
monitors, copiers, fax machines, stereos, mp3
players, printers, or televisions. Other
items may also be classified as e-waste.
Be sure to get
all the information on electronics and disposal
options at the time of purchase. Many
electronics stores and product manufacturers
have their own collection and recycling
initiatives!
